Equani Spa Overnight

If Heaven has a spa, I think I found it.

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa in the Blue Ridge mountains holds a sanctuary-like experience focused on self-care with healing and serene spa treatments. It’s called Equani Spa.

This is first class. You can see online here how the spa provides a pleasing array of body treatments, facials, and massages with gentle infusions of Cherokee culture that open your mind to embrace relaxation and free, uncrowded thoughts. Everything in and about the Equani Spa reflects the spirit of the land and the people who originally curated its healing properties.

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is truly special. The 503-acre resort property is part of the ancestral lands of the Cherokee. Advisors with the Cherokee joined with planners in the building of the resort to protect natural resources or sites of archaeological significance – you can feel this vibe in Equani Spa more serenely. You can also check out the history of this place in the lower floor lobby of the lodge.

THE BODY MUD MASK

Equani Spa is an all-natural salon with a focus on the use of organic and naturally derived treatments, soaps, and oils. Among all the incredible options, the 7 Clan Ritual felt like a fit for me.

The salon therapist started my relaxation with European dry body brushing and manual lymphatic drainage massage. This is followed by application of a balancing mud masque.

While I’m in the cocoon, the therapist performs a scalp and face massage. It’s too wonderful for words, so I’ll continue by adding that after a shower to rinse off the body mud masque, there is one more massage! When you register you can choose from either a Deep Tissue or Swedish massage to complete the 2-hour therapeutic treatment.

During your stay at the spa, you can also order charcuterie plates, hummus and pita, and coffee, tea, wines, and even nutritious smoothies made onsite.

THE SPA SUITE

Did you know you can stay overnight or for a weekend? My fiancé and I spent a Thursday night recently in the 825-square-foot suite with pleasing views of the North Georgia Mountains.

We toasted sunset on our private rooftop deck in the Jacuzzi for two! It is amazing to not only have had a full-body mud masque earlier in the day, but to continue relaxing in the hot popping bubbles of the Jacuzzi at sunset. Heaven, again. And in winter, rest assured you can warm up by the stone-surrounded gas fireplace.

There is also a shower that will shame whatever experience you have at home. This Experience Shower has double-drench shower heads, steam, aromatherapy, LED lights, and marine speakers.

The Equani Spa of Brasstown Valley Resort surrounds you in a lodge-style motif with natural timber details, Cherokee hand-crafted decorative elements, and stack-stone fireplaces. Treating your significant other or a group of friends to a one-of-a-kind spa experience is just another reason this resort is the ideal location for romantic getaways, friends trips, and destination weddings.

Book your stay in Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa. It’s always a good time to be here.
