The Mountain Arts Association along with Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa invite you to visit our newest art exhibit titled "Changing Seasons"
There is a slight chill in the air and the autumn leaves blaze before they fall as harbingers of a winter that covers the land with a mantle of snow.
This exhibit features 22 area member artists with 50 pieces of art ranging form oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and photography.
All of the art work in the gallery is available for purchase.

Art Gallery New Exhibit Opening
Brasstown Valley Resort Art Gallery
The Mountain Arts Association along with Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa invite you to visit our newest art exhibit titled "Colors of Spring"
The earth is warmed and signs of rebirth abound as multiple shades of green slowly reveal colorful spring flowers.
This exhibit features 22 area member artists with 50 pieces of art ranging form oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and photography.
You are invited to join our reception March 30th at Brasstown Valley from 5pm - 7pm to celebrate the opening of Colors of Spring. Refreshments will be served and keyboard artist, Steve Whiddon will be performing for us that evening. There is no charge and the public is welcome.
All of the art work in the gallery is available for purchase.
This exhibit will be on display in the gallery from
March 30th - July 12th.

MEMORIAL DAY WEKEND, Saturday, May 26th 2012
Everyone is welcome to the 5th Annual Horsin Around BBQ Showdown & Festival! The Barbeque competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) and is part of the Georgia BBQ Championship Series, so plan on participating if you and your team are competing in the State Championship.
Back by popular demand, the Peoples Choice contest will give you the chance to sample and vote on your favorite BBQ from 20+ teams and semi pro cookers. Noon until 1pm or the barbeque runs out!!

WinShape Camps for Girls offers adventurous and fun camp experiences in safe and encouraging environments through a one-week overnight camp at Young Harris College & a two-week overnight camp at Mt. Berry where girls participate in a variety of sports and skills while making new friends and growing in their faith.

On Going Event:
Rollins Planetarium & Observatory
Located in the Maxwell Center building on the campus of Young Harris College, The Rollins Planetarium features a GOTO Chronos Space Simulator star projector. This state of the art device uses light guide technology to project a realistic and beautiful starry sky.
The Planetarium presents at least 30 Friday evening public shows each year. Shows begin at 8pm from August - April and at 8:30pm from May - July. If the skies are clear the Young Harris College Observatory is open immediately following planetarium shows. The Observatory is located on the exit road at the Twiggs Overlook on the Brasstown Valley Resort Property. You must arrive early to the planetarium for the best seats and there is NO late seating once the show starts.
Admission: Adults $3.00 / Children and Students $2.00 / YHC Students & Faculty are Free
